My name is Marie Gress, LMSW-Macro and I supervise limited licensed workers in Michigan as well as work with interns from various universities around the country. I maintain specialties in directing aging services, organization and program development, as well as actively obtaining specialties in tech ethics and user experience.
I am the CEO and Chief Organization Development Strategist at Kovir LLC, the founder of WizeCoveâ„¢, a professional development community for aging services, and the co-founder of AgeFluxâ„¢ – a virtual senior community solution and digital aging-services training. I’ve worked with community-based grassroots non-profits formally for the past 11 years, managing interns and staff for 8, and directing older adult services and senior centers for 6 years.
I am the founder of the Supervision Exchange. (If you have any feedback about the site, my supervisees know I always welcome feedback!)
My supervision style is self-directed. Early on, you set goals for our ongoing relationship and I’ll set up our sessions to ensure your success. I expect supervisees to come prepared with their agenda, questions, and topics or skills they want to learn more about. I’ve found learning happens best when it is something you are interested in!
I enjoy providing supervision because I find I learn quite a bit from my supervisees, interns, and staff. A fresh perspective, the latest research, and new opportunities/collaborations.
I prefer virtual meetings at this time (but was providing virtual opportunities before covid), chai lattes, and gaming whenever possible.
